Young Artist Institute:

An Evening of Mozart, German Operatic Masterpieces 

Oct. 19 & 20 2018

The Maryland Lyric Opera Young Artist Institute will present semi-staged performances of excerpts from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s The Magic Flute and The Abduction From The Seraglio. The program, sung in German with English narration by director Nick Olcott, will explore the magic and drama of Mozart in a more intimate setting. Fresh off of their highly acclaimed performances of Puccini's La Fanciulla Del West at The Music Center at Strathmore in September, The Maryland Lyric Opera Orchestra will be conducted Music Director Louis Salemno. Lighting design by Joan Sullivan-Genthe. Limited seating available.
